Although it is not yet confirmed, it is widely expected that Ralph Rangnick will be appointed the interim manager of Manchester United until the end of the season.

A 4-1 defeat to Watford made change necessary, and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer faced the executioner’s axe last Sunday, leaving Michael Carrick in temporary charge of a side that had aspirations of a title charge but could end the day in the bottom half of the table and a full 15 points behind league leaders Chelsea.
Rangnick’s six-month spell in temporary charge is set to be followed by a two-year consultancy period, where he will help to oversee the transition to a new manager, as well as any potential transfers.
But what is his plan for January?
Now, as per Mike McGrath of Telegraph Sport, a United trio could be set to depart, in the form of Donny van de Beek, Dean Henderson and Jesse Lingard.
These departures would allow space to be freed up in order to provide a platform for new signings to be made come the winter window, although it is unclear on how much business the Red Devils would do considering their significant summer outlay.

There could, however, be a different route for Lingard, with McGrath reporting:
“Jesse Lingard is more likely to leave on a free transfer at the end of the season.”
Should this be the case, will he have left it too late to reignite his England career?
