A sigh of relief for the Minnesota Timberwolves fans: Star player Karl Anthony-Towns have evaded a serious injury.
As announced by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the x-rays conducted on the lower back of the big man gave negative results.
Towns landed his back hard and awkwardly after a corner dunk midway through the 4th quarter of T-Wolves’ recent game against the Washington Wizards on Wednesday. He left the game with 34 markers and 10 boards, as Minnesota eventually came up short against the D. C., 115-107.
Towns, though limping, still managed to give his time on media availability, telling reporters that he didn’t expect feeling much better that what he initially assumed.
“I feel better than I thought I was gonna feel.”
Though they have taken a tough loss, the high-spirited T-Wolves squad are good to go for achieving further greater heights upon knowing that their franchise centerpiece didn’t sustain a major setback.
The Wolves will arrive in Brooklyn to face Kevin Durant and the Brooklyn Nets on Friday night.
