2022 CSCAA Scholar All-America Teams
CHICAGO – Both University of Chicago swimming & diving teams and 39 individual Maroons gained Scholar All-America accolades from the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA).
The UChicago men posted a 3.65 GPA and the women compiled a 3.64 GPA to earn Scholar All-America Team distinctions for the Spring 2022 academic term. A total of 731 teams from 441 schools received the honor.
The Maroons had 21 men and 18 women on the 2021-22 Scholar All-American list as well. UChicago’s women had 16 First Team selections, which were the second-most for any program in the nation – the Stanford University women’s team led the way with 17 First Team picks.
Criteria for First Team Scholar All-Americans include a minimum GPA of 3.5 and participation in their national championship meet. Second Team honorees also earned a 3.50 GPA or higher and achieved a “B” time standard for the national championship or participated at a diving zone qualification meet.
