7 arrested after shop burnt down over death of man in Johannesburg

Chaos erupted in Mayfair, Johannesburg, this week when a group of people allegedly attacked a shop on West Street.
It followed the death of a 23-year-old Malawian man on Wednesday.
It is alleged that the man’s body was found in the shop’s toilet, with a rock on his head, and that the shop owner claimed the man took his own life, according to a member of the community policing forum (CPF).
