Two people have died and two others are recovering in hospital after more than 120 people were displaced in fires in Langa, Mfuleni and Dunoon in Cape Town over the Easter weekend.

The City of Cape Town said they were alerted of informal structures on fire in Umzumbe Street, Mfuleni at 02:30 on Sunday.

More than 50 firefighters attended to the scene, with over a dozen firefighting vehicles.
