U.S. dollar ticks up


NEW YORK, April 30 (Xinhua) — The U.S. dollar increased in late trading on Tuesday.

The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, went up 0.61 percent to 106.221 at 3:00 p.m. (1900 GMT).

In late New York trading, the euro decreased to 1.0678 U.S. dollars from 1.0725 U.S. dollars in the previous session, and the British pound was down to 1.2503 U.S. dollars from 1.2563 U.S. dolla
