In 2023, he scored 1,800 international runs, with 1,255 of those in ODIs, averaging 52.59. His contributions in the World Cup were particularly significant, where he scored 597 runs, making him the second-highest run-scorer of the tournament.

Best ODI Batter of the Year: Virat Kohli was recognized for his exceptional consistency in ODIs. He amassed 1,377 runs in 2023, including six centuries and eight fifties. His dominance was evident in the ODI World Cup, where he scored 765 runs at an average of 95.62, finishing as the leading run-scorer and equaling Sachin Tendulkar’s record for most centuries in ODI cricket.
