Hyderabad: A woman died by suicide by hanging in her house allegedly due to the fear that her house built near a water body in Kukatpally would be demolished by the HYDRAA authorities, on Friday.
G.Buchamma and her husband G Shivaiah, residents of Yadav Basti in Kukatpally, have three daughters. As dowry, the couple gave a house to them to share among themselves.
However, due to the recent demotion drives being taken up by the HYDRAA authorities in the vicinity of their house, Buchamma who feared that their house would also be demolished and her daughters would become homeless, hanged herself.
Though Buchamma’s relatives alleged that she died due to fear of demolition drive, the Kukatpally police who are investigating the case said all possible angles were being probed.
It is learnt that though the HYDRAA authorities surveyed in the area, they did not issue any notices.
