Emma Raducanu gets gift and offer amid news of Porsche taking away her dream supercar
Emma Raducanu already has a new offer on the table after the reports of Porsche taking away one of her cars as Dacia is ready to gift the 21-year-old with a new vehicle and presumably make her one of their ambassadors.
Last week, The Daily Mail claimed that one of the people close to the 21-year-old revealed that the Porsche 911 Carrera GTS Cabriolet was no longer in the Briton’s garage because the luxurious German carmaker decided to take it away.
A couple of months after her historic 2021 US Open win, Raducanu struck a deal with Porsche. As a reward, she went home with a supercar worth around $165k.
But since the British tennis player’s career hasn’t gone as expected since her major success in New York, one of her sponsors seems to be a bit unhappy. And Romanian car manufacturer Dacia seemingly hopes there might be an opening for them to get something done with the former world No. 10 as they left a great note and also made sure to gift-wrap the vehicle they are offering.
“Dear @EmmaRaducanu, whether it’s your forehand, backhand, or Sandero keys in-hand — you know a thing or two about reliability. So while some brands may (double) fault and let you down, you can always trust your Sandero. Here’s to many more miles,” Dacia’s message to the 21-year-old read.
Dear @EmmaRaducanu,
Whether it’s your forehand, backhand, or Sandero keys in-hand — you know a thing or two about reliability.
So while some brands may (double) fault and let you down, you can always trust your Sandero.

Raducanu actually has a Dacia; she bought it second-hand
Interestingly, the 21-year-old is actually very familiar with Dacia because it was the first car she bought after getting a driver’s license in 2020.
“My dad is Romanian and a Dacia was his first car. So, yeah, I have a white Dacia Sandero. It was funny, I passed my test three days before the first lockdown and we sort of knew it was going into lockdown, so we needed to buy a car ASAP. I bought it second-hand for £5,000. I take care of her. I’m never going to get rid of it,” Raducanu told The Sun in 2021.
After the Porsche news, it was also reported that the British tennis star was spotted driving her Dacia.
It remains to be seen if Raducanu will respond to the offer.
