Pat Cummins and his Australia teammates takes hilarious Hindi-Urdu language test
It is primed to be a tight schedule for Australia as their cricketing schedule beckons the visits of Pakistan and India spanning from November 4 to the first week of January 3, next year. Amidst the cricketing fever, a bunch of Australian cricketers opted to be a part of an entertaining activity which involved them having to match cricketing lingo written in English with their equivalents in Urdu and Hindi.
Usman Khawaja did not really seem to have an issue with matching the words due to the Islamabad-born Australian cricketer possessing the two languages as his mother tongue. On the other hand, the pairs of Pat Cummins-Josh Hazlewood and Glenn Maxwell-Mitchell Marsh made gradual sense of the phrases.
Interestingly, they recounted their memories of coming across some words mentioned in their activity from the Indian Premier League (IPL) days they spent with their respective franchises. Curiously, the Cummins-Hazlewood and Maxwell-Marsh pairs, who had donned the Test and limited overs jerseys, performed quite satisfactorily in an assignment involving a whole lot of fun.

A closer look into Australia’s cricketing itinerary
A three-match ODI series against Pakistan will be followed by as many T20Is. Interestingly, all six games are slated to be played at different venues. With Pakistan not having played a white-ball game since the conclusion of the T20 World Cup 2024, the Aussies will be aiming to dominate them and set up a solid platform for the Champions Trophy, slated to be played next year.

The blockbuster Border-Gavaskar Trophy will kickstart on November 22. With crucial World Test Championship (WTC) Points at stake, the series promises to serve some riveting matchups coupled with intensely passionate passages of play. Despite India being a bit low on performance in the Test match arena as of now, Australia would be wary of their potency and are expected to strategise accordingly.
