Japanese audit finds 64.8 bln yen in misused public funds


TOKYO, Nov. 6 (Xinhua) — About 64.8 billion yen (420 million U.S. dollars) in Japan’s public funds were improperly managed in fiscal year 2023, Japan’s Board of Audit disclosed in a report on Wednesday.

The report identified 345 cases of tax wastage and called for improvements to prevent further misuse of public funds.
