Ja Morant’s hip injury extends Grizzlies’ early challenges
Ja Morant is officially listed as week-to-week after suffering a posterior hip subluxation – an injury that, while serious, fortunately did not lead to a full hip dislocation.
In addition to the hip subluxation, he sustained several Grade 1 muscle strains in his pelvic region, which will require careful management to avoid aggravating the injury further.
The incident happened during the November 6 matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers. In the third quarter, Morant was attempting to catch a lob pass when he collided midair with a Lakers defender.
