New Service: Now passengers will get information about train location and parking availability in real-time, new service started


NCRTC has launched live train tracking and parking status facility on ‘RRTS Connect’ app. Passengers can now see the live location of Namo Bharat trains. Real-time parking information will also be available. These features will make travel easier. The app also has ticket booking, navigation and last-mile connectivity options. 42 km of Delhi-Meerut RRTS corridor is operational.

New Delhi: NCRTC has added features like live train tracking and live parking status to its ‘RRTS Connect’ app. This facility has been started for the first time in India. With this, passengers will get information about the location of the train and parking availability in real-time. This facility is for Namo Bharat trains. It will make the journey of passengers easier. NCRTC has added two new features to the ‘RRTS Connect’ app for the convenience of passengers. These features are – live train tracking and live parking status. For the first time in India, such facilities are being available in a public transport app. Passengers of Namo Bharat train will now be able to know the location of the train and parking availability in real-time. This will make their journey even easier. With live train tracking, passengers will keep getting to know the arrival time of the train every moment. The exact location of the train will also be visible in the app. With this, passengers will be able to plan their journey in a better way. They will know when the next train will reach their station. Apart from the arrival time of the train, the app will also give information about the next station, distance and estimated time of arrival. All this will make the journey of passengers even easier.

What will be the benefit of live parking status?

With the help of live parking status, passengers will be able to see the availability of parking at RRTS stations in real-time. This is also happening for the first time in India. Passengers will now be able to decide in advance where to park their vehicle by seeing how much space is vacant in the parking. This facility is very useful for those who use parking at stations. This will help them plan their journey without any delay. Parking is being arranged for more than 8,000 vehicles at RRTS stations from Delhi to Meerut.

These new features further improve the existing features of the ‘RRTS Connect’ app. The app already has options for ticket booking, station navigation and last-mile connectivity. There are also options like feeder bus service, bike, auto and cab booking on the app, which makes it easier for passengers to reach the station.

The ‘Station Facilities’ option gives information to passengers about the facilities available at the station. This includes things like drinking water, toilets, lifts and escalators. The layout of the station is also shown, which helps in navigating. The app also has the facility to talk directly to the station control room. If needed, passengers can contact the control room via phone or WhatsApp. The ‘Lost and Found’ feature is also available in the app to find lost items.

New features will set standards

NCRTC has set a new standard in the field of public transport by introducing facilities like live train tracking and parking status. These facilities will make the journey of Namo Bharat Train passengers even more pleasant. These facilities are designed to make the journey easy and convenient. Passengers are now getting more facilities than ever before.

At present, a 42-km stretch of the RRTS corridor is operational. It has nine stations: Sahibabad, Ghaziabad, Guldhar, Duhai, Duhai Depot, Murad Nagar, Modi Nagar South, Modi Nagar North and Meerut South. Trial runs are going on on the Delhi section from New Ashok Nagar to Sahibabad. After this section is operational, the total length of the corridor will be 54 km. Important stations like Anand Vihar and New Ashok Nagar will be connected with this extension. This will increase the transportation options for passengers in the National Capital Region (NCR). This facility will prove to be very beneficial for the people of Delhi-NCR. This will also provide relief to the people from traffic jams and they will be able to reach their destination on time.
