Aryna Sabalenka v Madison Keys

Two of the biggest hitters in all of tennis collide tonight at the Australian Open as Aryna Sabaenka seeks a third straight title against Madison Keys.
Sabalenka has won her last 20 matches in Melbourne and now stands one win from becoming the first woman in 26 years to win the Australian Open title three straight times.
The world No. 1 has lost just one set en route to her fifth Grand Slam final while Keys has had an awfully tough road. The American who turns 30 next months had to go through former finalist Elena Rybakina and Danielle Collins plus former Top 5 Elina Svitolina and then the big win over No. 2 Iga Swiatek saving a match point in the process.
Sabalenka has won four of five but this is their biggest battle and for Keys it would be the biggest win of her career.
“I think what’s really impressive is her mentality,” Keys said of Sabalenka. “She plays such fearless tennis. She has the ability to play so well that way. I think it’s very unique.
“I think not only is that impressive on her side, but I think it puts a little bit more pressure on her opponents where you know you’re always going to have to try to win the point because she’s never going to just play passive and give you an easy point.”
Keys lost in her first Slam final over seven years ago in 2017 when she fell to Sloane Stephens in the US Open final.
“I don’t know if when I started I thought I’d be almost 30 and still playing at the level that I’m playing and arguably playing maybe even better than I have ever really played,” Keys added.
“It’s something that I’m definitely not taking for granted and kind of just trying to roll with, and just show some of these young ones that they’ve got many, many, many years left.”
