Seamus Power says Rory McIlroy's win was the best thing he’s seen on TV

Few could remain cool with Rory McIlroy's victory at the last Masters edition. The Northern Irish golfer stopped the negative streak at the Masters, finally winning the green jacket. The playoff round brought tension the likes of which we have not witnessed for a long time, but Rory's determination and mindset were the key to victory.

Seamus Power, the famous Irish golfer also dealt with intense emotions during Rory's playoff round with Justin Rose.

The 38-year-old has no doubts that this is one of the greatest sports events he has seen, and many share his opinion.

"I thought I was going to have a heart attack watching it, but it was unbelievable," Power said, as quoted by Irish Independent.

"Having seen him from the age of 12 or 13 go on to become one of six guys ever to do something in golf, it was absolutely magical to watch.

It had to be the best sporting thing I've ever watched on TV. It was unbelievable. I thought he was running away with it and then, all of sudden, he made a mistake, and then to come back the way he did multiple times, it was unbelievable. It was one of the best sporting things I've ever seen."

Power, on the other hand, is also focused on his career, but he has not excelled in the last week, leaving him short of an appearance at the RBC Heritage. The experienced golfer revealed interesting details during the playoff round, saying that he was primarily trying to fix a water leak in his house in Vegas.

Even during training, he was focused on the Masters, following the last moments on his mobile phone.

He confirmed that he received a message from Paul Kimmage who said that even without Tiger Woods, a better script could not have been written, the one with Rory and Bryson.
