Sophia Bush’s Girlfriend Ashlyn Harris Says She Doesn’t Like To Be ‘In The Same Room’ As People Who Are Just ‘Average’

Wow. This is… really something.
If you wanted to get to know Sophia Bush‘s girlfriend better, we can think of no better way than this candid interview on the Question Everything podcast. Ashlyn Harris isn’t just a woman who may or may not have left her wife for a TV star she just met. She’s also a former (backup) member of the medal-winning US Women’s National Soccer Team, an entrepreneur, a podcaster… Sure, all that sounds like a lot of mediocre manosphere dudebros, but… Well, yes, she also talks like a mediocre manosphere dudebro. At least in this podcast episode!

In a moment from a recent episode that’s starting to go viral for all the wrong reasons, she reminds host Danielle Robay she chooses “to be exceptional every single day.” And as such, normal people who aren’t exceptional make her “uncomfortable.” Yes, really. Here’s her full quote:
“I only know what it’s like to live at the top, and the air is very thin. And I choose to be exceptional every single day. It is literally a choice. I wake up and I’m like, I don’t know what it’s like just to choose to be average. I don’t fuck with average people. They make me uncomfortable. I don’t like to be in the same rooms, in the same spaces.”
Robay is right there with her, we guess, because she jumps in:
“Like it’s contagious.”
Ashlyn agrees:
“It’s just, yeah, I don’t know. I had the best team in the world. We were the best team in the world. Everything I did and how I moved every day was the most exceptional people. So I don’t understand how to be and be amongst people who just are like, you know what? I’m f**king good.”
We have no doubt Ashlyn is very, very good at soccer. But this elitist attitude she has? How everyone she has to interact with whose soccer ability or beauty or physical fitness or whatever else she can spot on the surface isn’t “exceptional” is therefore somehow automatically beneath her? Some plebe who makes the air worse by being there? Yeah, we’re pretty grossed out by the whole thing.
And we aren’t alone. Viewers went ham in the comments, reading Ashlyn for exceptional filth:
“This is giving… Katy Perry in space”
“What I’m most struck by is the humility”
“Pretty bold thing to stay coming from a backup keeper.”
“….. is the exceptional person in the room with us!?!”
“So exceptional that she got zero World Cup minutes and fumbled Ali Krieger … but go on …”
“Girl you got a 2019 participation trophy”
“Truly exceptional people never talk like this.”
“I love being with other average people in this comment section”
Well, if you’re ever in the same room as Ashlyn Harris, just remember… if you’re deemed average she does NOT want to be in there with you!
