Congress
party
has
initiated
a

the

Gujarat
by
appointing
new
District
and
City
Congress
Committee
Presidents.
This
move

part
of
the
Sangathan
Srijan
Abhiyan,
launched
in
April
to
rejuvenate

party’s

booth
to
district
levels.

campaign

and

selection,

secretary

Venugopal.

Venugopal
stated
that
on
April
12,
2025,
a
team
of
43
AICC
Observers
and
183
PCC
Observers,
including
senior
leaders
like
State
In-Charges,
MPs,
MLAs,
and
former
PCC
Presidents,
were
deployed
across
Gujarat’s
districts.
These
observers
conducted
field
visits
in
all
26
Lok
Sabha
constituencies
and
182
Assembly
segments.
They
also
visited
nearly
all
235
Block
Congress
Committees.

Leadership
Selection
Focus

The
observers
engaged
with
party
workers,
civil
society
members,
and
local
communities
through
public
interactions,
one-on-one
meetings,
and
press
conferences.
These
activities
aimed
to
evaluate
the
organisational
environment
within
the
state.
Venugopal
highlighted
that
this
process
was
closely
monitored
by
Congress
President
Mallikarjun
Kharge
and
Leader
of
the
Opposition
in
the
Lok
Sabha
Rahul
Gandhi.

The
newly
appointed
DCC
Presidents
reflect
Gujarat’s
social
and
regional
diversity.
They
were
selected
based
on
their
grassroots
connections,
ideological
clarity,
and
organisational
skills.
This
strategic
move
is
seen
as
a

for
the

Gujarat
