Experts say chancellor should go further than rumoured plan to update value of homes in top three bands Rachel Reeves has been urged to “grasp the nettle” and kick off a wholesale revaluation of the nation’s homes for council tax in next week’s budget as she prepares to introduce a levy on the most expensive properties. Standard X-ray services at Hong Kong’s public hospitals will remain free under a medical fee reform that will introduce charges for radiology procedures from next year, the Hospital Authority has announced. But about 40 per cent of patients using computed tomography (CT) scans will be charged HK$500 (US$64) per examination.
