The event is part of Project Mahadeva, Maharashtra’s flagship grassroots football initiative launched under the leadership of Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis. Project Mahadeva itself is a statewide football development programme that focuses on nurturing U-13 boys and girls. The mission aims to build a strong talent pipeline capable of eventually representing India in key global tournaments. The long-term target is ambitious: ensuring that India’s 2034 FIFA World Cup squad includes at least five players from Maharashtra. As part of the initiative, 60 selected athletes will receive a five-year residential scholarship along with a rare opportunity to train at a special football clinic with Lionel Messi on December 14.

Instead of closing with a celebratory note about the match, the spotlight remains on the scale and goals of Project Mahadeva, as well as Tiger Shroff’s continued presence in action cinema.
