As Elli AvrRam marks the one-year anniversary of her Arabic-Moroccan hit ‘Homa Dol’, she reflects on the milestone with gratitude. Starring opposite global artist Saad Lamjarred, the song became a major success and remains a memorable experience for Elli.

Reflecting on the journey, Elli reveals that ‘Homa Dol’ was more than just a music video. It was a manifestation of two long-held dreams coming to life. “For me, it was like two dreams come true in one song,” Elli shared. “Ever since I discovered Saad Lamjarred, the super famous Arabic Moroccan singer, when he released his Arabic song that became a superhit, I’ve been manifesting that one day I want to do a music video with this artist. So when the team of the music video reached out to me and said they want to cast me for the song ‘Homa Dol’ opposite Saad Lamjarred, it made me realise how one should always dare to dream and it can really come through.”
The second part of her dream was equally magical. The unfiltered beauty, who has always been drawn to period dramas and the elegance of bygone eras, finally got to step into that fantasy. “I’ve always dreamt of doing a period drama sporting those beautiful ancient looks, like a complete princess from back in time and I actually got to do it,” she says with a smile. “I actually felt like a princess while shooting for it.”
Looking back, Elli fondly remembers the grandeur and artistry that went into the project. “I’m filled with so many beautiful memories. Since it was a big-budget song, everything related to it was quality be it the gorgeous costumes or the sets. It was a beautiful experience.”
For her, music videos are not merely glamorous appearances; they are immersive storytelling experiences. “I always look forward to doing great music because I feel shooting for a music video is almost like doing a film but in a short span of time. You have to act and perform as well. So it’s great fun to do more magical music videos,” she concluded.
