Jammu, Nov 29: Inspector General (IG) Border Security Force (BSF) Frontier Headquarter, Jammu, Shashank Anand Saturday stated that 118 Pakistani posts, 72 BOPs and 46 FDLs were engaged during ‘Operation Sindoor’ by the border guarding force.
IG Anand, joined by DIG Vikram Kunwar and DIG Kulwant Sharma, was addressing an annual press conference, organised in connection with BSF Raising Day, at Satish auditorium in Paloura camp of Jammu frontier.
During the function, the border youth who excelled in the 1st Jammu BSF Marathon 2025 on November 9, 2025, were also felicitated.
BSF Raising Day will be celebrated on December 1. This year, the Force will celebrate its Diamond jubilee.
In the press conference, IG Anand informed that during 2025, BSF Jammu played a key role in ‘Operation Sindoor;, an Indian security operation, while simultaneously facing multiple challenges emanating from Pakistan, including cross-border firing, infiltration attempts, narcotics smuggling, and drone operations.
