Properties of 2 drug peddlers attached in Budgam: Police


Srinagar, Nov 30: In a significant action against the drug menace, J&K Police have attached two residential properties worth approximately Rs 45 lakhs belonging to two drug peddlers in Budgam district

A double-storey residential house at village Bonhard Charwani, Charar-i-Shareif, belonging to Khurshid Ahmad Ganie, son of Mohammad Abdullah Ganie, has been attached, said police. Similarly, another double-storey residential house at village Nowhar Sarfkhud, Charar-i-Shareif, belonging to Mehraj Ahmad Shah son of Ghulam Hassan Shah, has also been attached.

Investigations have revealed that both accused had raised these properties through proceeds of illicit narcotics trafficking.

After completing all legal formalities and based on concrete evidence, the properties were seized under Section 68-F of the NDPS Act.
