The Ranveer Singh led Dhurandhar is seeing an average response in advance booking all across the country. As on Wednesday at 6 PM, the Aditya Dhar directorial has sold 55,000 tickets in the top 3 national chains – PVRInox and Cinepolis – and is looking to close the day with pre-sales of 60,000 tickets.

The film is on track to hit 1,00,000 pre-sales in the national multiplex chains, and this isn’t exactly the result that the makers would be looking for in the making. Dhurandhar is an expensive film, and a lot more was expected out of it, more so because it’s coming across as a film from the world of Animal.
The first day of Dhurandhar is expected to be around the Rs 17 crore to Rs 20 crore mark, and this leaves a lot on the content to do the talking. The film needs to record a positive word of mouth, as a start in the zone of Rs 20 crore is just about decent for an action film of this scale.
The advances of Dhurandhar outside of the national multiplex chains is rather weak, and even lower than last Friday’s release – Tere Ishk Mein. It looks like an urban film at the moment, and it’s on the content to take it at an all India level. Given the credentials of Aditya Dhar, we are bullish on the film to become a national sensation leading to growth over the weekend.
