Miley Cyrus has officially confirmed her engagement news!
If you didn’t see, the 33-year-old star got engaged to musician Maxx Morando, 27, and while she did make comments about where she is in her life right now just after the news broke, she did officially confirm the news in an interview on GMA on Wednesday (December 3).

When asked if there’s congrats in order, Miley shared, “Yes, there’s more congrats.”
She then shared a proposal detail: she had no idea it was happening! “I am not easy to surprise because I love to control every situation, and I had completely surrendered. And I’m telling you, I was so, so, so surprised,” she said.
When he popped the question, she “of course” said “yes” and accepted. She added that he “did good” in picking out her engagement ring, which you can see right here.
This will be the second marriage for Miley after she was married to Liam Hemsworth.
Miley and Liam were together on and off for 10 years and married in December 2018. After seven months of marriage, they separated in August 2019. Their divorced was finalized in January 2020.
In an interview from last year, Miley made a very rare reference to her time with Liam.
