Anupria Goenka, Rajat Bedi, Shaad Randhawa and Taaha Shah had an interesting conversation about OTT, cinema and a lot more on the second day of the Bollywood Hungama OTT India Fest and India Entertainment Awards 2025. Anupria shared a hilarious experience from the sets of Padmaavat (2018) made by master filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
Anupria Goenka revealed, “There’s a scene with Shahid Kapoor where I had to wear the nath on my nose. It used to keep slipping down. I used to be uncomfortable when the shots were longer. So, I used to remove it and wear it during the take. While doing so, woh nath toot gayi! The shot was about to start and none of us had the guts to tell (Sanjay Leela Bhansali). I had already shot a little. So, I can’t even change the nath. Thankfully, we had the production team on the sets. However, since the shot was about to start, no one had the guts to tell Bhansali sir ki ‘nath toot gayi hai. Wait kar sakte hai kya?’.”
Anupria continued, “Anyway, we put a tape quickly. During the shoot, I could feel the nath slipping dheere dheere! And sir is very particular about where I should see and where I should nod. It was through a window. I later realized that it was my intro shot. It was done in a certain way and at a certain angle. It had to be precise. Since the nath was falling, I had to keep my neck a little high. Obviously, it was not working for the shot (laughs). I used to chant ‘Nam Myoho Renge Kyo’ all the time, even between the shots!””
