Anupria Goenka, Rajat Bedi, Shaad Randhawa and Taaha Shah had an interesting conversation about OTT, cinema and a lot more on the second day of the Bollywood Hungama OTT India Fest and India Entertainment Awards 2025. Anupria shared her wonderful experience of working with master filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali on Padmaavat (2018).
Anupria Goenka said, “It has been one of my most treasured experiences. Mujhe bahut daant padi unse! Especially one day, he scolded me a lot. However, he scolds you passionately but when he appreciates you, he does that with even more love. When he does that, you feel that aapki zindagi safal ho gayi hai (laughs)! Nothing else matters. Aap issi liye paida hue the.”
Anupria Goenka then stated, “You get to learn so much from him. The way he looks at you as a human and as a female actor, especially (is commendable). He looks at a woman through so much. He made me feel that ‘You are a woman. Tum apni marzi se pyaar kar sakti ho. Apni marzi se tum jal sakti ho. Apni marzi se kisi ko jaane de sakti ho, like jaao, theek hai, have fun! You are my man, but go have fun with someone! As a woman, you decide when you want to be vengeful, when you want to love and when you want to be jealous’.”
Anupria continued, “Also, the way he makes you play with the camera just through breath is just beautiful as well (smiles).”
