Kajol and Twinkle Khanna’s talk show Two Much premiered on Prime Video on September 25 and welcomed several well-known celebrities over the months, including Saif Ali Khan, Aamir Khan, Ananya Panday and Janhvi Kapoor. However, many fans noticed that Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol’s long-time friend and frequent co-star, did not make an appearance—something that sparked curiosity among viewers.

Shah Rukh Khan has now addressed the reason behind his absence. Speaking to BBC Asian Network, the actor shared that he genuinely wanted to be part of the show but could not make it due to personal commitments. He revealed that he had been busy shooting for a film and was also recovering from an injury at the time. “I am doing a film right now, so I told her, and I think I was injured too,” he said. Kajol, seated beside him during the interview, added, “Honestly, it was just the timing of it.”

SRK admitted that he felt bad about missing the opportunity, especially because of his close bond with Kajol and Twinkle. “I felt really bad. I would have loved to come on it—except for the food-eating part. There was so much food to eat! But I am so sorry to you and to Twinkle. I should have been on the show,” he said. He also shared that he has watched all the episodes as a way of making up for not being able to attend. “Just to let you know, I have seen all the episodes. I have been watching. Just my penance that I was not on the show.”

A day before the interview, Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol celebrated 30 years of their iconic 1995 film Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. The two reunited at Leicester Square in London to unveil a bronze statue capturing one of their memorable poses from the film. Kajol was joined by her children, Nysa and Yug, and a video from the event showed the four of them smiling together under an umbrella.

Meanwhile, Two Much recently found itself in controversy after Twinkle Khanna’s light-hearted “raat gayi, baat gayi” remark during a discussion on infidelity drew criticism. The comment was made in an episode featuring Karan Johar and Janhvi Kapoor. Following the backlash, Twinkle clarified that her statement was made in a humorous context and not meant to be taken seriously.
