Congress throws weight behind Jignesh Mevani after his remarks on cops spark protests

Suspended Biju Janata Dal (BJD) leader Shreemayee Mishra has once again launched a pointed attack on the party on social media, indirectly criticising both the organisation and its present leadership. In her latest post, Mishra used satirical Odia verse to allege that an unnamed figure is influencing the party’s decisions while loyal workers are being used to corner others. The BJD has not issued a response to her remarks.
