Kapil Sharma, Manjot Singh, Hira Warina, Parul Gulati, Tridha Choudhury, Ayesha Khan, director Anukalp Goswami and producers Ratan Jain, Abbas-Mustan and Ajit Andhare attended the launch of the trailer of Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 at a multiplex in Mumbai. Abbas-Mustan made an appearance after ages and took the case, despite the presence of quick-witted Kapil Sharma.

Abbas-Mustan began by saying, “This is our seventh film with Venus. There are 7 brothers in the Jain family. They are married and have children. Humko samaj mein nahin aata hai ki kaun kiska ladka hai! Sirf shakal se sabko jaante hai hum.”
Then, they said, “When we made Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon’s first film (in 2015), Anukalp Goswami wrote its story. We realized that only one man can justify the lead character and that was Kapil Sharma. We met Kapil and he was finalized, and so were the heroines.”
Abbas-Mustan continued, “In the first part, usne 4 shaadi ki thi. Ab second part mein toh woh aanth shaadi nahin kar sakta! Hence, we got new faces. It’s a family entertainer. I am sure people would have a blast.”
The director-duo also opened up on their bond with Anukalp Goswami, “The first time we became friends with Anukalp was thanks to Johny Lever sahab. He introduced us to him; then, he was a writer. By the way, this film stars his daughter, Jamie Lever.”
Abbas-Mustan added, “In the first part of Race (2018), we had to write a scene for Johny bhai. He told us, ‘Main ek ladke se milana chahta hoon. I want him to write my scene’. That guy was Anukalp. He was the one who wrote the whole track of Johny bhai in Race.” Anukalp Goswami joked, “Ek scene se maine poori film le li (laughs).”
At this point, Abbas-Mustan revealed, “Anukalp has shared the seed for the third part of Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon.” An excited Kapil Sharma said, “Kya main hoon usme?” Abbas-Mustan told their lead actor, “If you hear it, you would love it,” and refused to share more.
Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 releases in cinemas on December 12.
