In a candid interview with Filmfare published November 27, 2025, Raashii Khanna shared her deep admiration for her South-Indian co-stars, acknowledging how much she has learned from them. She spoke about working with some of the biggest names in South cinema calling them her teachers in the craft of acting.
Reflecting on Ravi Teja, Raashii said, “I love Ravi Teja’s positive energy. Ravi Teja knows how to live his life fully, despite the hits or the flops. He is somebody who believes that we have one short life and we need to live it well. I have never seen him sulk or be negative about anything. He has a lot of positive energy. That’s what I’ve loved while working with him and being around him.
About Jr NTR, she said, “With Jr NTR, I have realised that talent will sustain, not your visibility. Nothing will sustain you more than talent. He is talented. It is the way he delivers his dialogues, lines after lines or he can learn his monologues. He is good in all languages. When you work with him, you realise that you want to work hard as him. He has inspired me a lot.”
Turning to Dhanush, Raashii revealed, “Dhanush is a brilliant actor. I have become a better actor after working with Dhanush. They say acting is a lot about reacting. If the person in front of you is good, you automatically become better. I observe the little nuances that he does with his eyes, his lips and the expressions he pulls off. I am always mind blown. I would freeze watching him in a scene. I think I’ve become a better actor working with him.”
She also spoke of Mohanlal and stated, “Mohanlal sir can switch quickly. He would be laughing with someone before a shot and quickly deliver the most teary-eyed line right when he heard the word ‘action.’ How does he do that? I have asked him if there are special techniques in acting. There are so many conversations I’ve had with him to understand his process. I have never had film school training. I wish I had, but I didn’t. So I have learnt everything on set and through my co-actors. There is a lot I learned working.”
Finally, about Pawan Kalyan, she confessed, “He is a phenomenon. I never really get starstruck meeting people. I respect all my co-stars but have never been a fan. I’ll tell you why. If I am a fan, I can’t deliver as an actor. My craft is more important to me. So, I put that aside. But with Pawan sir, I was mesmerised with his aura. I couldn’t think of my craft in front of him. His energy is too powerful. I can’t explain it. There were times when I would just look at him and forget my dialogue. That doesn’t happen to me.”
Through these experiences, Raashii Khanna emphasized that she grew not just as an actor but as a person. For her, working with such seasoned co-stars has been nothing less than a masterclass full of learning, inspiration, and growth.
