Tere Ishk Mein is a winner. After taking a fantastic start of Rs. 15.06 crores on Friday, all eyes were on the kind of jump that it would end up seeing on Saturday. After all, critical acclaim is there and word of mouth amongst audiences is positive as well. Of course, there is debate as well about the actions of the two protagonists played by Dhanush and Kriti Sanon. However, this is only adding on to the buzz and viability for the film, which means footfalls did see a good rise in Saturday.
Result? The film ended up growing with Rs. 16.57 crores coming in. This is quite positive since as it is the film had exceeded expectations and now with add-on numbers coming in on Saturday, its game on for this Aanand L Rai’s volatile romantic drama. The film will again see a rise in collections on Sunday and though Rs. 20 crores would still be far away, a number around Rs. 18-19 crores is definitely possible.
So far, Tere Ishk Mein has collected Rs. 31.63 crores, which means it has a definite shot at hitting Rs. 50 crores mark by the time the weekend comes to a close. The job is now done for the film and even normal trending from Monday onwards will not just take it through but also start generating profits from the second week onwards. After the Diwali release Thamma, finally there is a film which will enter the Rs. 100 Crore Club and then go beyond.
