Two Die, Three Injured in Road Accident in Rajouri
Srinagar- Two people lost their lives and three others sustained injuries after a vehicle they were travelling in collided with a parapet near Chingus in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir during the pre-dawn hours on Wednesday.
Officials said that a Swift car (JK12D 7568) was on its way from Jammu towards Rajouri when it rammed into a parapet near Chingus at around 4:30 AM. The impact of the collision proved fatal for two passengers while three others sustained injuries, they said, as per news agency GNS.
All the injured were immediately shifted to GMC Rajouri for further treatment.
The deceased have been identified as Naik Singh (53) son of Puran Singh resident of Waripattan and Mohammad Yaqoob(45) son of Mohammad Fazal resident of Saila Surankote.
The injured have been identified as Mohammad Farooq son of Mohammad Fazal resident of Saila Surankote, Driver Mohd Sageer son of Mohammad Haneef resident of Digwar Poonch and Mohammad Mushtaq son of Fazal Hussain resident of Kakora Manjakote.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident, they added.
