Bollywood filmmaker and choreographer Farah Khan continues to entertain fans with her candid and humorous YouTube vlogs. One of the most popular elements of her videos has been her cook, Dilip, who has quickly become an internet favourite. In her latest vlog, Farah took Dilip along to the Mumbai residence of renowned fashion designer Manish Malhotra, where a sweet and unexpected moment unfolded.
Manish Malhotra calls Dilip a star
As Farah and Dilip entered Manish Malhotra’s lavish home, the designer warmly greeted them. Holding Dilip’s hand, he said, “I have a gift for you,” as his assistant handed him a signature MM bag. When Dilip opened it, Farah jokingly said that he could keep the bag while whatever was inside should belong to her. Manish playfully added that the garment would not fit her anyway.
Dilip then took out a light pink kurta from the bag and thanked Manish for the thoughtful gesture. Farah reacted in her trademark humorous style, saying, “Kya teri kismat badli he bhai! Manish Malhotra ka costume pehenne ke liye log saalo tak paise ikhatte karte hain (What a turn of fate! People save for years to wear a Manish Malhotra outfit)!”
Manish affectionately called Dilip a star. Later in the vlog, Dilip tried on the kurta and touched Manish’s feet to express his gratitude.
Farah and Dilip’s vlogs
Farah began her vlogging journey after her team encouraged her to try the format. She chose Dilip as her on-screen partner and gave him witty punchlines, which quickly made him a sensation. His natural charm and their playful banter have contributed to the growing popularity of the videos.
Dilip has since appeared in several advertisements, including campaigns with Shah Rukh Khan and Kiara Advani for Myntra, as well as promotional videos for Flipkart and other brands.
